This is all I hear from Matt the week before and the week following his birthday. But today is actually MY birthday! We celebrated my birthday down in St. George this past weekend with his family (and for conference weekend).
While down there, Matt and I found the cutest Japanese/Thai restaurant at Ancestor Square called Benja.
The Musuman Curry was delicious and Matt said he was "pleasantly surprised" when he tasted the sushi. We will definitely have to dine at Benja when we return.Matt also surprised me with this:
I have been eyeing this camera for quite a while now...what a nice surprise. I'm so excited to use this when we go to Japan in a month! It will capture some great memories!
Matt and I had such a fun time with his family. It was also a nice little break from the cold weather. Bob was with us the first night we were in St. George then flew out early the next morning to Michigan and Texas. We were able to have a little birthday dinner at Outback with him, Sue and Chels. Later Shannon and Todd came with the girls. Kate was so helpful in opening presents and kept saying, "so cute, so cute" to everything. She was especially excited to help me open her present which was a curling iron! I asked Matt for one last month. I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't owned a curling iron for years now! Last night I tried curling my hair and it looks like I need some practice (and my hair to grow out a little more).

Grandma Ruthie just called me wondering who was coming to their Easter/Birthday dinner this Sunday. She would love some help with food assignments and would appreciate knowing who all is coming so they can prepare enough Ham. Happy Birthday again! Is that the camera you were talking about ( the really nice expensive one?) If so, I'm sooooooo jealous!! Glad you got it though :) Let me know how you like it.
Yeah, Happy Birthday! I bet you are very excited to go to japan. We are going to China in august for about 10 months. I'm excited, but a little nervous to be gone for that long. Enjoy your camera...and curling iron.:)
