We made...

...crepes! Finally! I bought the pan 5 months ago and finally used it. We had the Maris family over and it was sooo fun....and SO good!

We struggled a litte with the first few.

Here's Megumi perfecting the process to make...

...these. Don't they look divine?

Weekend Roadtrip

After a week of tests Matt and I took a quick trip down to St. George then Vegas. It was lovely.

The first thing we did when we got to St. George? SWIM! It was nice and warm!

Matt doing a cool trick at the bottom of the pool ;)

That night we were driving home after dinner and found this old school (ghetto) bowling alley:

(These are phone pics) Notice how you can see the ball roll back to the platform (middle picture).

Now, the grand finale...we mostly drove all the way to Vegas for this: Matt's Mabo Ramen. He was SO excited and happy. The trip was worth it ;)

Now, for me the highlight of the trip was going here:

I saw this bakery featured on Bakerella. The cupcakes all looked SO good so I really wanted to try them.

(The buttercream really is THAT good!)

These are the cupcakes we tried. My favorites were the PB Cup and Chocolate Chip Cookie. The butter cream on PB Cup was SO good. It tasted like peanut butter. Yum!
...
(Below) Here we are enjoying our cupcakes in the parking lot. If you'll notice in this picture there are only 3 cupcakes...but above there are 4. After tasting them we went back and bought another cupcake and more chocolate chip cookies. They were really good.

Now that's a cupcake!

I forgot to post, but...

...Yeah, we beat it!

Check it...

Last night, I made Japanese Miso Ramen (no, not Top Ramen).
Matt was impressed! I don't really know how it's supposed to taste, but he said it was good broth (from scratch...sort of...plus miso paste). I know it's nothing like authentic ramen in Japan, but it's pretty good for us Orem-ers. ;)

...and yes, this is the final castle on Wii Mario! Woo Woo!

We made it to the front doors last night. What an accomplishment.
